Our event schedule is periodically updated so check back!
Monthly meetings are held at the Alden Balch Memorial Library located on Main Street in the center of Lunenburg at 6:30 PM on the third Wednesday or 2 PM on the third Sunday, depending on the time of the year. All meetings are open to the public. For information about, verification of, or directions to any meeting or event, please contact us.
January 16 - monthly meeting at 2pm
February 20 - monthly meeting at 2pm
March 19 - Lunenburg's 6th Maple Festival - throughout the day around Lunenburg's town common - 8 am to 7 pm
March 20 - monthly meeting at 2pm
April 20 - monthly meeting at 6:30pm
May 18 - 6:30 PM - "The Bobbin Mill" - photos and memories of Lunenburg's Bobbin Mill. Open to the public - bring YOUR photos and memories, please. A monthly business meeting will follow.
June 15 - monthly meeting at 6:30pm
July 20 - 6:30pm - "Lunenburg Dance Halls" - photos and memories of Nichol's Dance Hall. Free of charge and open to the public - bring YOUR photos and memories, please. A monthly business meeting will follow.
August 6 - Lunenburg's Old Home Day - on Lunenburg's town common

September 17-18 - The Lunenburg Historical Society is bringing the Vermont Civil War Hemlocks to town! They will camp in the center of town, presenting the Civil War soldier as he dressed, drilled, marched, ate, lived and slept. A community weekend with many themed events! September 21 - monthly meeting 6:30pm POSTPONED
October 16 - 2:00 PM at the Alden Balch Memorial Library - Vermont author, Cassie Horner, will detail her research, share pictures and give a reading from her historical novel Lucy E. - Road to Victory. This historical novel features a former Lunenburg resident, Lucy, and her family, including her second husband who was a Civil War veteran. This program will be enjoyable for local history and Civil War buffs as well as those who can appreciate a good story. The library is accessible, the public is welcome and there is no charge.
November 20 - monthly meeting at 4pm. The annual meeting will be held with election of officers.
December 3 - NO monthly meeting BUT we will be participating in the Gingerbread Bazaar again this year! For more details visit www.topofthecommon.org
